Roller Ball 5, commonly called Red Ball 5, is a side-scrolling platformer that features a red ball main character. It's not associated with Evgeniy Fedoseev, but many fans of his works consider it the unofficial continuation of the Red Ball series.
As with the original games, a red ball needs a player's help to collect floating coins and stars, perform physics-based tasks, bypass obstacles and traps, and defeat monster and spider enemies across a beautiful forested landscape. Each level ends with a doorway and portal the red ball must enter to reach the next level. The game also allows the player to skip a level if they watch an advertisement.
Roller Ball 5 is almost entirely ad-based. As a result, the player can't receive certain rewards, collect some extra cash, try out new skins, procure additional lives, or revive the character without watching ads. It implies the player can't play past Level 1 if they use an ad blocker. It also implies that the player must watch an ad and pay a specific amount of coins each time. That said, the player can continue without watching an ad. They only need to wait for "NO, THANKS" to appear onscreen.
