Rescue Girl is a pull-the-pin logic-puzzle game with adventure elements. The player directs a girl knight to find hidden treasures and rescue kidnapped boys in tower dungeons in more than a hundred locations across three geographic regions.
The player must use deductive reasoning to determine the correct order to remove pin-like metal bars from diagonal, horizontal and vertical positions to drop a treasure or kidnapped boy to the knight from a higher level. Yet every level features deadly obstacles, including green gas, hot lava and red demons. The player must pull pins in the correct order to block or destroy one or more obstacles. For example, to protect the knight from lava, the player must pull a pin to drop water onto the lava and create stone boulders.
Rescue Girl rewards the player with coins that they can use to change the female knight's clothing, armor, and hair color and style. If the player wants to multiply the rewards by 10, they merely need to watch an advertisement.
The game also features daily rewards and side quests. After the player completes a certain number of levels, they play out scenes in which the knight must trick enemies using one of two possible solutions per interaction. If they win, they receive a free item from a spin wheel. If they make the wrong choice, they lose one of their red, heart lives. If they lose too many lives, they must wait a few minutes during a cool-down period for one to auto-generate or earn one by watching an ad. They can also skip a difficult level by watching an ad.
