Nuts and Bolts Puzzle is a timed logic-puzzle sorting game with a physics element. The player's primary goal is to remove objects from a playfield backdrop by repositioning screws. Their secondary goal is to earn the highest number of coins and star cards possible per puzzle.
The game presents the player with a background, a playfield backdrop and objects screwed to the backdrop. The objects the player might need to remove include chains with and without attached balls, narrow metal plates and round washers. To remove all objects, the player must use various strategies to reposition the screws into empty holes in the correct order.
The player also faces other obstacles. For example, some puzzles feature a lock. The player can only unlock it by removing a screw to allow an object to swing through a floating key. They must complete this and any other task before time on the timer runs out.
Nuts and Bolts Puzzle provides unscrew, undo, replay and break-off tools, as well as one or more additional holes. The player gains access to these options by paying with star cards or watching ad videos.�
