Monster Tree: Bubble Shooter is a bubble-popping game set in a fantasy world. Characters Meiling and Arya want to build Arya a treehouse in the mountain valley where they live, but they can't perform this task without the player planting and growing a magical monster tree. The player pops bubbles to collect enough water to perform this and other tasks. They also use the tree to collect energy to pay to play each level and collect fruits to unlock, feed and restore monsters that randomly help with gameplay.
The game features a charger-style ring shooter and a dotted targeting arrow. The player starts with two projectiles that they can switch to improve their chance of popping bubbles with each shot. With special upgrades, they can swap three projectiles and receive other benefits. With boosters, they can extend the length of the arrow and add a targeting bubble to the end of it.�
The player shoots a projectile at a group of two or more color-matched bubbles. To collect water, a projectile might need to hit two or more empty bubbles connected to water ones. A bubble that contains a water vial or booster flies away from the hanging bubbles when an attached group pops and becomes a super-large bubble that blocks some playfield rows. The player can only remove this type of bubble and collect the rewards by hitting it with a color-matched projectile.
Monster Tree: Bubble Shooter gives the player bonuses when they complete consecutive hits. The player also receives free boosters by completing quests during the bubble-popping gameplay, such as gathering enough magic water and reaching a specific score.
