Flags Connect is a connect-style game in which a player must match pairs of round flag icons on a board made of linked round-cornered tiles floating in front of a map of the world. The player wins a level by removing every icon before a two-tone green horizontal timer bar disappears from the screen. Countries represented by flags in the game include America, Canada, Japan and the United Kingdom.
The game presents the player with three modes (Easy, Hard and Very Hard). The Hard and Very Hard modes feature the same amount of time as the Easy mode but with larger boards that display more flags. The player matches identical flags along invisible lines between side-by-side icons and flags that connect through empty tiles on the board or along the edges. They can't typically merge around the corners of the board.
Unlike many connect-style games, the player can match icons using more than three lines of connection. When the player connects flags, the first selected one slides along an invisible line or line toward the second one, merges with its match, and then a single icon bursts like a bubble.
Flags Connect resets the timer for each new level. The player earns points for as long as possible until they run out of connect moves.
