Xmas Float Connect 2023 is a timed tile-matching puzzle game with a connect element and a Christmas theme. The player earns points by removing all the tiles floating in front of a playfield that features a winter scene that depicts a snow-covered town near mountains during a light fall by selecting matching pairs of Christmas-related images. They must complete this task across 27 levels before a five-minute digital timer runs out of time in each level.
The Christmas imagery on the tiles includes bells, burning candles, candy canes, chocolates, cupcakes, decorated trees, fireplaces, gingerbread men, ice skates, iced cookies, round lollipops, mittens, ornaments, pie slices, presents, pumpkin rolls, reindeer, scarves, snow globes, snowmen, spiced drinks, and stockings. The player can only remove matching tiles that connect via seasonally red lines when a pair of tiles is positioned side-by-side or stacked one above the other, along the same edge, or across gaps. They can only perform this task with up to three lines and two 90-degree angles. They can track their score at the upper-left corner and the remaining time at the upper-right corner.
Xmas Float Connect 2023 challenges the player by rearranging the leftover tiles automatically after they make a match during play. Although hint and shuffle options exist to help the player find identical adjacent tiles, they must watch ads to unlock these tools.
