Wild West Match is a match-3 puzzle game with a Wild West theme. Bonnie, a local cowgirl and sheriff, needs the player's help collecting items on boards across levels on a winding path through an American Frontier town. To prove their matching skills, the player must also perform tasks within a limited number of moves and earn three stars per level.
Each board provides the player with one or more collection tasks. Bonnie might need them to collect blue-corked containers, green money bags, gold stars, purple bandanas or red sticks of dynamite in groups of three or more items in rows or columns on the board. Sometimes, she needs the player to perform special tasks, such as break up and collect blocks of dirt underneath items, open up treasure boxes by completing matches against the boxes, or detach sheriff hats from the board individually by helping the items slide down to column exit arrows.
Wild West Match allows the player to create or earn boosters and special items. The player receives free boosters initially. They can also buy boosters with coin winnings or win boosters via gifts from Bonnie, a spin prize wheel, and achievement reward boxes. The player creates special items when they match more than three items. For example, four items create a special item wrapped in gold rope. Five items create a TNT bomb.
If the player then selects and drags a special item to a space that contains a second special item, they create more power items. For example, two TNT bombs collect needed items on a board and remove the rest with one move.
