Solitaire Chess: Mind-Capturing Logic Game is a chess simulation and teaching game. A player learns how to solve chess puzzles on 4x4 two-tone wood chess boards across 100 levels.
The game places pieces of the same color on the board in different spots. The player's task is to capture pieces until only one remains. They can only move a piece to capture another piece. As a result, they need to approach each puzzle carefully. They need to use their chess skills and logic to capture pieces in the right order. The game initially provides them with a tutorial that outlines the basic moves for each piece.
When the player selects a piece, the game also alerts them to a possible capture by placing a green ring behind it. When only one piece remains, it places a moving white swirl behind it.
Below the board, the game displays the number of pieces on the board at any given time. It also displays a reload icon that allows the player to reload a level. The player doesn't need to pay to start over.
Solitaire Chess unlocks a level only after the player succeeds at winning the previous one. On the main screen that displays the numbered levels, the game shows unlocked levels as tilted, wide boards. Locked levels appear as narrow ones.
