Rachel Holmes: Find Differences is a spot the difference picture-puzzle game. Rachel Holmes faces a new mystery that spans the world and needs the player's help with solving the case! Someone has released thousands of photographic pictures in near-identical pairs to the public with a challenge to find all the differences. The player takes up the challenge and competes in individual bracket and tournament matches to win prizes, unlock new locations, and acquire important clues.
The player starts by training with the game's Tutor_Bot AI in San Francisco. They must detect every difference between near-identical photos before their opponent. When they detect or guess correctly, a green bracket appears around a difference, and a square under their user name changes color. Differences don't only include missing objects and people. The player might discover that an object is short or longer or that an object or structure has a completely different color, form or pattern.
After the player proves that they're a great detective with the tutorial, they face off against other bots and real players from around the world in three-match tournaments. At the end of every tournament, they win money and stars. If they collect enough stars, they unlock the next location. They also receive rewards via daily and other gifts.
Rachel Holmes: Find Differences doesn't provide the player with any hints. That said, they receive a certain number of incorrect guesses displayed as red X marks before they lose a match. If they make strategic guesses, they can still win.
