Mahjongg Dimensions: Candy, also known as Mahjongg Candy Dimensions, is the next installment of Arkadium's popular Mahjong Dimensions cube-matching game. The player must match and remove cubes stacked in three-dimensional patterns similar to classic Mahjong layered tile patterns. Their main goal is to complete as many patterns as possible before they run out of time to earn the highest possible score.
The playfield background and cubes feature candies and treats, including a variety of beans, bonbons, caramels, chocolates, gumballs, hard candies, gummy bears, fruit jellies, fruits, lollipops and sweethearts. Beyond the dessert theme, the gameplay is nearly identical to the original game.
The player rotates the cube left and right to find matching candies and treats that aren't between other cubes in the stack (edge cubes). They remove the cubes in pairs until no more remain. They then attempt to continue to disassemble as many other stacks as possible via the same method.
Mahjongg Dimensions: Candy makes gameplay more difficult over time by making the patterns increasingly complex. The number of cubes and matches in a stack also increases to a level that makes it difficult to remove them fast enough.
That said, the game allows the player to reshuffle the cubes once per pattern for free. It also offers a lot of multipliers and bonuses. It multiplies points by two if the player makes matches every three seconds. It also multiplies points by five when the player matches cubes with the same image consecutively.
