Mafia Billiard Tricks is a ball game based on billiards. Across several locations, the player helps a local kid, Gino "Pooly" Pullano, learn how to play pool like a boss from local gangsters and other mafia old timers. The player learns tricks that can make Pooly a legend.
Pooly's first stop is a pool hall, where he learns from Cousin Vinnie, a low-ranking mobster, the basics of the game. Vinnie teaches Pooly and the player, by extension, across five basic lessons and one final lesson. For example, the player learns how to use a cue stick and ball and an aiming line with a targeting circle and angle trajectory line. If they make a mistake, they can undo their last move by watching a video.
Mafia Billiard Tricks allows the player to explore standard rules (i.e., solids and stripes) and timed play. They also learn about difficult shots and fouls for pocketing the cue ball and touching the wrong ball during their turn. After they complete all lessons, they unlock the next location and mafia mentor.�
During some lessons, the player can earn achievement rewards in the form of stars. They can earn up to three stars per lesson.
