Hero Tower War is another version of Hero Tower Wars (i.e., Hero Wars) that offers variations in gameplay, slightly different graphics and more overall options. In this fantasy strategy, merge-puzzle game, the player directs a knight avatar to various towers to acquire magical and physical weapons, defeat enemies, fight creatures and monsters, and rescue princesses. They also collect coins to perform armor and character changes and build a castle and other structures.
The player completes levels to earn coins. Their avatar starts each level in a tower on the left side of the screen. The player must transfer the knight to one of the levels in a tower on the right side to collect a weapon, fight an enemy, retrieve a key and unlock treasure, or perform a mix of tasks.
The game displays blue experience points above the knight's head. The player can only win a fight or bypass an obstacle that has fewer points displayed in red. If they attempt to make the knight act against something that has more points, they lose the level. When they win, they receive coins. They can claim extra coins or items by opening daily reward gifts, finishing daily quests and achievements, and watching ad videos.
Hero Tower War provides several options on the home screen for using coins. To perform armor and character changes, they use the Skin button. To build a castle and other structures, they use the Castle button. If they want to learn more about enemies, princesses and weapons, they use the Library button.�
