Hangman is an online word puzzle game similar to the offline classic of the same name. As with the original, it features a stickman figure. That said, the player's goal isn't to come up with the correct letters for a word to prevent the figure from hanging from a noose. In this version, a stickman-style boy wearing a ballcap walks along in the forest with his balloons when he crosses paths with an armless black monster with tusks. His balloons immediately lift him away from the beast to safety, but he's at risk of dropping into the maw of the monster if they pop.
The player must guess a topical word or phrase by guessing the correct letters. The topics include anatomy, animals, desserts and sweets, famous people, nature, occupations, oxymorons, phrases, places and video games. Every time the player guesses an incorrect letter, one of the balloons pops. If they fail, the monster eats the boy, and the game resets. If they guess correctly, all the remaining balloons become part of the player's total score. The boy drops down and kicks the monster to destroy it and waves.
Hangman offers Easy, Medium and Hard modes. The player receives independent Saved (i.e., balloons) and Best scores for each one. If they lose, their goal is to then perform better than their last best score.
