Crazy Color Balls is a racing game that requires a player to direct a shape, known as a ball, through colorful patterns constructed from other shapes. Each of the game's 20 levels challenge the player with new patterns and obstacles, including falling groups, sliding trains and complex vehicles made only from geometric shapes.
The player starts out with a blue square. They must direct it through other shapes on the racetrack without allowing it to touch any shape that isn't blue. If the player is successful, they reach a black-and-white finish line and receive multicolored confetti stars.
The game features other ball shapes, including circles, diamonds and triangles. The ball might be any color on any level. It's not consistent throughout the game. The only consistent part is the rule about touching shapes. If the player allows their ball to touch any shape of a non-matching color, they lose and the ball is destroyed.
Thankfully, Crazy Color Balls isn't an endless runner. The player can restart the level rather than the entire game. They can also use shapes that match the ball's color to push or hit non-matching shapes out of their way.
The player has complete control over the ball, which means they can make it move faster, slow it down or even reverse its position. They can push shapes that match color-wise to plow open a path or hit them so that they move like projectiles to knock away non-matched shapes. They can also use these matching shapes to slow or block moving non-matching ones.
