Candy Tile Blast is a tile-puzzle game that offers fun, interesting deviations from other types of similar candy-style, matching-tile games.
For starters, a player doesn't need to perform match-3 moves across 20 levels of gameplay. They initially perform two-tile matches to create "blasts" that remove the tiles from a grid that floats mid-screen. Above the grid, the game displays standard and special tasks that a player must complete within a specific number of moves to win the level. Typically, the standard tasks involve clearing a certain number of candy pieces. The level then ends the moment they finish the tasks. They don't need to clear the entire board or wait for the game to automatically clear it.
As with similar games, a player clears a high number of connected tiles at one time to create special blasting weapons to remove tiles faster. They can create striped missiles (5-6 tiles), bombs (7-8 tiles) and one-color blasters (9 tiles). They can also combine the power of two or more similar or different weapons to make even more powerful ones. For example, they can combine two bombs to create a mega bomb.
Lastly, Candy Tile Blast challenges a player with special scenarios. They must unseal tiles sealed within chains, jelly, ice or crates by blasting a row of nearby tiles. They also need to collect food-based tiles, such as strawberries, carrots and cheese.
