Woodoku is a wood-block puzzle game. Although it has "doku" in the name and features a grid, it's played on a 10x10 instead of a 9x9 Sudoku board. It also doesn't require number generation. The player merely needs to fill the grid's empty cells in rows and columns with blocks presented as polyomino shapes to earn as many points as possible.
This is a wooden block puzzle simulator. Players move wooden blocks into the puzzle area that corresponds with the missing pieces of the puzzle to fill vertical and horizontal lines. Once a full line is completed, it is destroyed, and the player is given points. There are specials move available. Undo reverses the last move made, and the shovel removes pieces of the blocks. Additionally, there are timed bombs that drop that will ruin any attempts at the completion of the level if they are not removed in the time given. There are three game modes available, Classic Mode, Timed Mode, and Bomb.

The game offers three modes (Classic, Timed and Bomb). In Classic Mode, the player uses shapes to make lines, and the game removes the lines to open up empty spaces. In Timed Mode, they must try to fill a horizontal line next to a trophy cup below the board before they run out of moves. The line only fills up when they complete lines on the board. In Bomb Mode, the player must complete as many lines as possible before bombs that appear at random on blocks count down and explode.
As with other wood-block puzzles, Woodoku supplies three shapes to the player at a time. They can use the shapes in any order. If they complete more than one line on the board with one move, they receive combination bonus points. All points are displayed below a crown icon at the top left corner. The game also offers two tools, a shovel that destroys a single block and an undo arrow that reverses the last move, to help the player make the most of available moves.
