Bubble Crusher is a bubble-popping game that features unique connect, tiling and other twists not typically seen in this category of games. The player doesn't shoot bubbles. Instead, they select and pop connected clusters of two or more bubbles that fall from the top of the screen. Their goal is to earn as many points as possible by popping as many bubbles as possible and collecting special diamond points before they run out of time.
Inside a round-cornered vertical container, bubbles rest individually and in clusters against a background of two-tone gray square tiles. Some bubbles are connected by white bands. The player selects a cluster to pop the bubbles and drop more bubbles into the container. Every popped bubble rewards the player with points. They continue to select and pop bubbles until the timer under the score in the top-center area above the container turns red, flashes and stops counting at zero seconds.
If the player selects a single, unconnected bubble, a red X appears on the bubble. That said, they don't receive any time or score penalties.
Bubble Crusher also features helpful tools encased in bubbles, such as an analog clock that adds a few seconds to the timer. The diamonds that appear automatically award points after so many seconds. After the player loses, their only goal is to play again to try to accrue a higher number of points.
