Ballbeez is a timed logic-puzzle game that features physics challenges similar to the Happy Glass and Happy Filled Glass games. The player must fill dark blue frame-style containers with Orbeez polymer balls. Each ball is superabsorbent, which means that it grows from a small size to a larger one when exposed to fluid. The player receives three gold stars per stage and loses a star any time a ball falls out of the container and off the table surface.
The game has 10 levels, with five stages or containers per level. The player uses one or more dispensers marked with orange directional arrows to release the Orbeez into a container and water. They must accurately gauge the number of tiny balls to release to make the expanded balls pile up to reach a white, dashed horizontal fill line or risk overfilling the container. The game makes this difficult by slowly or rapidly swelling the tiny balls and then enlarging them to different sizes per stage. The balls also quickly pile up.
Ballbeez presents the player with a wide variety of obstacles as well. The player might need to fill sections in a container, block a hole in the side of the framework, or use a sliding dispenser. That said, they can win a stage as long as a ball doesn't fall off the table before a white, double-ring timer reaches a specific time. They also receive unlimited retries. Lastly, if a stage is too difficult, they can skip it by watching an ad video.
