2048 in Flasks is a sorting game with a 2048 merging element. As with many sorting games, the player sorts colored balls into laboratory test-tube-style flasks. The difference with this version is that the player must sort the balls based on more than just color.
The game features 50 levels. In each one, the player must create a target ball color and number. They accomplish this tasks by merging identical balls. For example, if they need to create a purple 16 ball, they might transfer a 4 ball to one test tube, merge two green 2 balls to create a brown 4 ball in a separate flask, transfer and drop that ball on top of the first one to create a red 8 ball, and then merge two more 4 balls supplied by the game on top of the 8 ball.
The order of the steps that the player takes in 2048 in Flasks is critical to completing the task. That said, if they make a mistake, the game offers them an undo button marked with a semicircular backward arrow.
One of the best aspects of this game is that it doesn't force the player to drop balls only on top of balls of the same color. The player can rearrange the balls in any way to create merge opportunities without penalty.
