Gem Match 3 is a free to play game. The game begins with an 8x8 grid of randomly ordered colorful uniquely shaped gems and a timer set to 2 minutes. The game is user friendly, gives hints when you feel stuck, and and is easy to pick up and put down when you need to.
The objective of this game is to line up 3 or more gems in a row. They will dissolve, your score will increases, and new gems will fall from the top of the frame to replace in the holes created. The more gems you manage to line up in a single move the more points your score will increase. The same is true for when you manage to perform a cascade. A cascade is when you dissolve one set of gems and then the new falling gems align into rows of 3 or more too and then also dissolve without you moving any further gems.
Gem Match 3 has music that is initially eerie but sets a tone that draws the player towards a more calming undertone when paired with the chosen art for the background. The music and other audio may be toggled on and off in the menu option.
Once the two minute game is completed you have the option to share your score with your friends on popular platforms such as Facebook or Twitter.
