Solitaire Daily Challenges is a card game that emulates Klondike Solitaire play. The game appears as a gradient blue tabletop that features seven columns of face-up and face-down cards near the upper center area, an empty foundation area on the left side of the screen, and a three-card draw deck on the right side. The player can adjust these settings for left-handed play using the hamburger menu icon at the lower-left corner.
The player must rearrange all the cards in the columns to expose the Aces. Each A card starts an ascending sequential build (Ace to King) in the foundation area based on the four suits in a standard playing card deck. In the columns, cards are arranged from the K card down in non-suit, alternating-color builds. The player moves cards between the columns to start the descending piles and uses cards from the draw pile to complete the builds. They can use an undo button marked with a backward arrow and receive eight free hints via a button marked with a lightbulb.
Solitaire Daily Challenges uses a calendar-based system. The player selects the current date and plays the most recent game. They can also play games from previous days. If the player does well each day of a month, they receive gold crown points toward a bronze, silver or gold trophy.
