Solitaire Champions is a card game based on Klondike Solitaire single-card and three-card draw setups. The player's goal is to remove all cards from the virtual card table. They perform this task by repositioning cards across seven columns of cards dealt in face-up and face-down layers and moving all column cards to four empty spaces in an area above the columns called the foundation. They must also use all cards in a reusable draw pile.
The player can only reposition cards across columns in an alternating-color, descending, non-suit order. The term descending describes cards layered from the Kings down to the 2 cards. The player moves the Aces to the empty spaces to start same-color, ascending, suit-based foundation piles.
Solitaire Champions displays the current score, exact time and number of moves along the top of the screen. If the player makes a mistake while repositioning cards, they can use an Undo button on the lower-left side. The player can also use a Shuffle button to rearrange the draw-pile cards. They can see the number of draw cards remaining at all times by checking a tiny number displayed at the lower-left corner of the pile.
At the end of the game, the player receives the option to double their score. This can help if the game issued a score-reduction penalty. That said, they must watch an advertising video.
