Mind Your Marbles is a logic-puzzle board game with block-puzzle elements. The player attempts to achieve the highest score possible by creating horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines of five or more identical marbles on a 9x9 board.
The player can move a marble to any empty position as long as they drag it along an open, non-diagonal path. Every time they reposition a piece, the game fills up to three empty spaces with new marbles displayed on a preview sidebar on the right side of the screen.
The game removes the line of marbles and generates points on the left side of the screen. If the player completes two or three lines consecutively in a row, they receive two or three times the points, respectively, as a bonus. If they allow the entire board to fill with marbles, they must replay the entire game.
Mind Your Marbles also features boosters in the form of icons that appear on the preview area and empty squares. For example, if the player uses a red stick of dynamite in a row of marbles to complete a line, the explosive blows away all identical marbles on the entire board. The player can use two-tone striped marbles that look like beach balls in any line that contains one of the two colors. They can also use a rainbow-colored marble called the joker in place of any marble.
