Kings Klondike is a card game that doubles the fun of classic Klondike Solitaire play. Instead of using one regular 52-card deck of playing cards, this game uses two decks. It also mixes face-up and face-down cards in layered columns in the center tableau area instead of primarily placing the cards in face-down positions. Lastly, the game offers a Spider Solitaire element. The player must build eight instead of four foundation piles at the top of the screen in ascending order by suit from Ace to King.
All other play matches classic Klondike. The player rearranges the column cards in alternating color, non-suit, descending order from King to 2 to reveal cards that they can use in the foundation piles. They use an unlimited draw-pile deck of 48 cards to the left of the tableau to reveal cards that they can use to fill sequence gaps.
Kings Klondike is a timed game as well. The player must remove all cards from the center columns and build up the foundation piles within 20 minutes. That said, the game offers three "undo" moves via a button marked with a back arrow to help the player when they make a move that reduces their chances of winning.
The game also transfers cards from the draw pile to the foundation area automatically when the cards are the next in a build. The player only needs to manually place cards from the tableau.
