Jelly Quest Mania is a match-3 game set on an island that features both warm and cold temperature zones. As with similar games, a player connects three or more of the same type of object, in this case colorful jellies, to remove them from a board. They must collect a certain number of different types of jellies displayed at the top right corner of the screen, such as blue stars, orange circles and purple flowers, before they run out of time.
The game changes the board shape on different levels, which means that the player might need to work around gaps that don't have any shapes attached to them. It also locks some jellies under metal bars. When this happens, the player can't move or use the jellies until they unlock them by performing connect matches around them (i.e. moving two matching jellies in position against the locked one). Some jellies also change appearance because they flip in their spaces on the board.
If the player runs out of moves, the game automatically rearranges the positions of all jelly shapes. It also eventually offers the player an option to buy and use boosters, such as a hammer that removes just one jelly at a time. If the player wins, they receive up to three golden stars and coins.
