Girls Nail Salon is a makeover game that teaches the player how to trim, shape and decorate fingernails. It features 16 standard levels of play and three special holiday levels (Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day).
The player doesn't receive access to the thumb. Instead, they use the clipper tool to trim the fingernail on the first of the four fingers. They then apply nail polish. The game doesn't allow them to custom trim or decorate the fingernail. Instead, they must simply complete the task. Once they finish the first one, they must complete the three additional fingernails to reach the end of the level.
The game then presents the player with a camera button to take a snapshot of the finished design. The player has the option to use their device screenshot or snip tool to save a copy.
The player receives hearts instead of points for their efforts. They can earn twice as many hearts if they watch an advertisement. They use the hearts to unlock the levels in each holiday category.
Girls Nail Salon offers additional decorative options as the player progresses through the levels. They can add a variety of stickers with a special tool. That said, they can't custom-select stickers. The game might prompt them to apply stickers to every fingernail or only to some.
