Funny Haircut is a career-simulation game in the dress-up category. The main character needs the player's help with making her hair look fabulous with a haircut and style. The game sets up the task from the perspective of a professional stylist. The player performs all the steps associated with cutting and styling a woman's or girl's hair, such as washing it, using a straightening or curling iron or curlers, and drying it thoroughly with a blow dryer. The player can choose to make a fantastic or ridiculously funny style.
This game goes a step further by offering options to dress up the character with makeup, clothing and accessories as well. The player can select a new top and bottom for the character. They can also apply lipstick, eyeshadow, mascara and blush. The game even offers the player the option to apply one or two temporary tattoos (stickers) to her face. If they don't want to make the selections, they can also use a special button that looks like a die to make random selections.
Funny Haircut also offers achievement rewards when the player completes certain tasks, such as using the various hair styling tools for the first time and trying out all the outfits, hair accessories, tattoos and makeup.
