Uphill Rush 11 is a racing game that takes place entirely on waterslides across 20 levels on the top of a cruise ship. The player's goal is to achieve the highest score possible while completing each race with the fastest time possible. They must also bump NPC characters and objects, such as beach balls, buoys and life preservers, out of the way and collect floating coins while navigating steep downward and upward inclines, gaps between waterslides and massive loop-de-loops.
The player selects an avatar, clothing and watercraft options. Although they start with a swim ring decorated with a solid color or made to look like a donut or flag, they can eventually upgrade to an inflatable banana, hotdog or rocketship, or one of several jet skis and dolphins. In the water, they might need to direct one of these vehicles to also slide across a deck, poolside area, pool interior or even through an eating spot. If they're not careful, they can lose a race by slamming their avatar too hard into boulders, chairs or tables.
Uphill Rush 11 gives the player a boost button to help them speed along faster. It also provides 1,000 free coins if they watch an advertisement. They can also receive a multiplier on their winnings by watching an ad.
The player uses the money to buy new avatars and vehicles and upgraded acceleration, balance, boost and speed.
