Jewel Bubbles 3 is a match-3 game that features futuristic jewels that look like clear bubbles filled with swirled colored liquid. The game follows classic match-3 rules. The player swaps two jewels to create lines of three or more matching jewels. The game removes the line from the playfield and new ones drop down and slide into open gaps.
The game offers 60 levels of classic play. A locked bonus-play option also exists. The player receives points and stars for performing well on each level. They only succeed if they complete the tasks given to them. For example, they might need to perform a specific number of valid turns to earn a certain number of points, remove gray blocks behind the jewels, or clear as many jewels from the field before an hourglass timer runs out of time.
Jewel Bubbles 3 also offers classic boosters that the game refers to as bombs. If the player completes lines of four or more matching jewels, they receive different versions of these powerful tools, including a diamond jewel inside of a bubble that takes out a row and column at the same time, a swirling center of dots that takes out a six-jewel rectangle or nine-jewel square, and a rainbow swirl that takes out all jewels that match the color of the one the player swaps it with on the field.
If the player can't decide on a move, they can use the jewel-labeled button near the bottom-left corner to reveal a match.
