Adam and Eve 7 is the seventh game in the puzzle side-scroller series that focuses on Adam's love for Eve. Many of the games don't involve sequential stories. In the last installment, Adam romanced a red-headed version of Eve in a medieval castle setting that also featured modern and futuristic technologies. The player last saw Adam in bed, lazily spending his days and nights focused on a touchscreen device.
In this game, Adam is once again paired with a blonde-haired version of Eve in the Paleolithic period. Adam crosses a bridge and motions to Eve. He's excited about finding a T-Rex. Yet Eve can't cross the bridge, and the player is prompted to destroy it to prevent Eve from following Adam. Once again, Adam leaves Eve behind to pursue adventures elsewhere.
This game uses the same point-and-click mechanics found throughout the series. It also continues to present the player with scene-by-scene obstacles and problems to Adam's success on his new quest that they can only solve by using common sense, deductive reasoning and science. The player must sometimes help or harm animals and people. Other solutions to problems include feeding animals, repairing simple machines, revealing clues and using tools.
That said, Adam and Eve 7 offers a hint feature not seen in the previous games. The player can use up to five hints. If they want additional hints, they must watch an advertisement. It also features a dreamland sequence in which the player creatively solves problems in Adam's dreams.
