Adam and Eve 6 continues the story of the title lovers in the point-and-click, side-scrolling series of the same name. Almost every game deals primarily with Adam's quest for love and romance. Previously, Adam dreamt of wooing the blonde-haired Eve among the clouds, rescued a blonde woman from captivity, and floated off into the sunset with her on a raft.
In this game, the story picks up with Adam asleep against the side of a tree. Was his last adventure only a dream?! The player must assist Adam with his new adventure to find out. A bird has dropped a love note for Adam on the ground. Adam runs forward in search of love. Yet he's no longer in paleolithic deserts and jungles. Now, he's in a medieval time period with castles and knights.
The game still features many of the animals, objects and even mythical creatures found in the previous games. The player must solve a logic or other type of puzzle to help Adam escape tricky situations. The puzzles might require the player to decrypt a number code, feed an animal, find a clue or hidden object, harm an animal or person, open doors with keys, rearrange small or large objects blocking a path, repair a broken structure or pipe system, or use a simple or complex machine.
Adam and Eve 6 presents Adam and the player with more modern innovations and even futuristic advancements. The player must solve problems involving a boiler, an outdoor faucet and irrigation system, and a powerful cannon. In one area of the castle, they must direct Adam through teleportation portals.
