Adam and Eve 5: Part 1, or Adam and Eve 5: Part II, is the second half of the fifth installment in the extremely popular point-and-click platformer series that features more than 20 titles. When the player last finished helping Adam, he was struggling to use a rock to climb up the side of a steep incline. The event took place after Adam abandoned dark-haired Eve and decided to explore the world.
As with all titles in the series, the player attempts to help Adam during his journey through above- and below-ground locations by removing obstacles from his path. They must often solve puzzles by using deductive reasoning skills and science concepts. They might need to search for clues in a scene to guide their decisions.
Solutions typically involve finding hidden useful objects or using levers, pulleys and other simple machines. The player might need to use unrealistic ideas as well. For example, they might need to use the tears of a dinosaur to grow a beanstalk that Adam can climb to a new location.
Adam and Eve 5: Part 1 continues the trend of Adam sometimes harming animals and people to reach his goals. For example, the player might need to use a tool to trick a man into falling asleep so that Adam can steal the clothes literally from the man's back. They might need to direct Adam to hit another person with an object. That said, these acts aren't always the only solution. The player sometimes solves a problem by helping an animal or person.
