Adam and Eve 4 is the next story in the Adam and Eve point-and-click platformer series. Adam's ideas about love and relationships aren't entirely realistic. He desperately wants love and happiness, but the women he's fallen for so far don't like his laid-back ways. His latest love hits him with a rolling pin while he's sleeping against a wall. The player's objective is to help Adam escape this relationship and go back out into the world in search of someone who can understand him.
As with the previous installments, the player must remove obstacles from Adam's path by solving a variety of logic and science problems. The problems require the player to select objects, animals or people in a specific order per scene to make certain actions take place. The player must often use common sense, deductive reasoning skills and simple machines to come up with solutions. For example, they might need to direct food toward an animal blocking the path or use lever, piping and pulley systems.
It's important to note that Adam and Eve 4 features more scenes that require solutions that harm other people. The player might need to make someone embarrassed or fearful. They might even need to injure someone. Adam also often gets into complicated trouble, which means that the player might need to come up with an out-of-the-box or even unrealistic solution. For example, if Adam hits his head, then the player might need to hammer the lump on Adam's head before he can come to his senses.
