Adam and Eve 2 is the second installment in the popular Adam and Eve side-scrolling logic-puzzle series that consists of over 20 games. The paleolithic man, Adam, hasn't found the love-filled life he had hoped for in Paradise. Instead, Eve makes him wear a leaf instead of clothing and keeps him locked in a cage while she sleeps. The player must help Adam escape and continue his quest to find true love.
Time has also passed by in the world. Once free from Eve's cage, Adam finds himself facing a lot of obstacles after he flees Paradise on a road to the heart of Ancient Egypt, where the beautiful Queen Cleopatra rules the land. As with the first point-and-click game, the player must remove obstacles and protect Adam from dangers by solving puzzles.
The game often presents the player with problems related to historic and modern simple machines. For example, the player might find a metal circle hanging from a vine stretched across a ravine. They must then find a stick to build a zipline.
Every scene on the journey in Adam and Eve 2 presents the player with a new puzzle involving animals, objects or people blocking Adam's path. The player must also help Adam deal with mythic creatures like ghosts and wrapped mummies. They need to use, create, repair or upgrade tools and structures. Additionally, some structures and machines are slightly more complex. The player must understand basic math, physics and engineering concepts. In one scene, for example, they need to understand how water flows through pipes.
