The Lost City: Match 3 is a match-3 puzzle game similar to Stickman Jewel: Match 3. In a magical forest and other locations, the player matches vibrant jewels and objects in lines of three or more items to complete tasks. During collection, they might need to complete challenge-style tasks, such as breaking stone slabs or stopping color-matched anthropomorphic mushrooms from hopping to the top of the board. They receive points, coins, and stars as rewards.
The player must swap a jewel that matches two or more adjacent matching jewels with a different-colored jewel or other object to create a line. After the game removes the jewels and nearby collectible objects, the player continues to perform matches until they complete the task given to them at the start of a level. They receive a higher score for completing a level task with few moves.
The Lost City provides special jewels, boosters and other tools. For example, the player can align three matching jewels in an L or T shape to create a Bomb or X Jewel. The former takes out a large area of jewels during the next turn, and the latter removes diagonal lines.
If the player aligns four jewels, they create a Line Jewel that removes all jewels in a row or column with one move. With a four-jewel 2x2 configuration, they create a color-matched parrot that randomly removes pieces. With five jewels, they create a Rainbow Jewel that removes every jewel of a specific color. If they combine special jewels, they create even more powerful magic. Any special jewel swapped with a Rainbow Jewel turns every color-matched jewel into a matching special one.
