Pixel Slime is a click-tap pixelated rush platformer with classic arcade and physics elements. The player helps an anthropomorphic slime ball bypass obstacles and stay alive while rushing through 40 dangerous levels.
The slime slides across two-tone purple, diagonally striped platforms against a dark black background. This is the rush and semi-endless runner aspect of the game.
The player can direct the slime to jump into the air. They must have fantastic hand-eye coordination, situational awareness and timing to prevent the slime from slamming into or falling onto dangerous ground-level and hanging spikes, gaps between platforms, topsy-turvy, see-saw and upside-down platforms or other obstacles. Their goal is to help the slime reach a portal at the end of each level that takes it to the next level.
That said, Pixel Slime doesn't penalize the player for the character dying at any time. As a result, the player can reload a level over and over until they conquer it.
This is one of the best aspects of the game because some levels aren't easy for the player to win on the first try. A level might feature rapid gravity and other changes from platform to platform. For example, the player might direct the character to jump up and suddenly discover it sliding along the underside of the same or next platform.
