Mr Noob, also known as Mr Noob vs Zombies, is a block-world, skill-based, logic-puzzle shooter. The player helps a rural archer, Mr Noob, defeat green-skinned zombies across 400 levels via target archery play.
Mr Noob shoots zombies with a bow and arrows. The player uses a higher number of arrows with each level to help Mr Noob perform increasingly skillful archery feats. If the player struggles with a level, they can skip it by watching an advertisement.
The player must shoot around a variety of obstacles, including stationary, sliding and floating grass-and-soil, stone and wood barriers and platforms. They can shoot a zombie directly or use heavy objects, such as gold blocks marked with white question marks and other zombies, to destroy zombies via impact hits. They can also use the force of TNT explosive boxes to blow up or break apart zombies. Lastly, they can use arrows to push levers to open doors, remove obstacles and drop hidden boxes from the sky.
In Mr Noob vs Zombies, the player can also direct arrows to bounce off metal surfaces and invisible barriers. Additionally, they can shoot an arrow with precision into the air and wait for it to come back down to the earth and hit the head or shoulder of a zombie.
The player wins up to three gold stars and blue diamonds for their efforts. With the gems, they can unlock new skins for Mr Noob and open treasure chests.
