Noob vs 1000 Zombies! is a block-world arcade game with levels, player-versus-player (PVP) and mission modes. The player must use excellent hand-eye coordination and various strategies to help a country bumpkin named Noob save his sheep from green firebug zombies who smile while destroying the landscape and wreaking havoc.
In levels mode, the player must direct Noob to kill zombies with a bow and arrows and save sheep in increasingly difficult aboveground and belowground scenarios across 251 levels. When they complete a level, they win up to three stars out of 753 total. They also win coins that they can later use to randomly unlock various Noob characters. The player can hit zombies directly with arrows or indirectly by bouncing arrows off metal and stone surfaces. They can also hit levers, crates and other objects to open trap doors or push heavy items on top of zombies. They can blow up zombies with TNT as well. With PVP, they can compete in real time against other online players. In mission mode, they must remove boxes sliding down a screen via rules similar to bubble-shooting and brick-breaking games.
Noob vs 1000 Zombies! requires the player to do more than use a lot of different methods to kill zombies. It also requires that they perform precision shooting on one level and rapid firing on the next, or even both within the same level.
