Gyroforcer is an arcade-style platformer with classic dungeon elements. The player helps a white round character collect red, diamond-shaped gems and navigate 30 rooms that feature black backgrounds accented by gray bricks and white brick frames outlined in blue.
The player directs the character to bounce, jump, leap and fall across the main floor, floating and stationary platforms, sliding columns and step-style tiers. Some rooms contain wide gaps and deadly traps. That said, if the player allows the character to perish, they merely restart the level.
The name of the game comes from a special form of play. Gyroforcer allows the player to change the positioning of platforms, walls and columns using their controls. For example, they can rotate a vertical wall to create a platform. They can make a column rise up out of the floor or descend and disappear from view. They use these movements to reach the diamonds and a red flag that turns green with the completion of the level.
It's important to note that the player can't move an object if they position the character on or next to it. Additionally, if a level proves too difficult for them, they can use the upper-right orange button to skip the level by watching an advertisements.
