Candy Valley is a match-3 puzzle game with a dessert theme. Against the backdrop of a world filled with the sweetest of treats, the player helps a girl named Sophie complete item collection tasks on boards across levels to access ingredients and complete recipes.�
The player must match three or more of the same items in columns or rows or collect items in multiple item groups by using special boosters. They receive their task or tasks from Sophie at the start of a level. They might need to collect any type of dessert item, such as swirl and ring hard candies, ice cream bars, donuts or cupcakes. They can review the items on a sidebar to the left of a board. They can also track the number of moves and their progress with collecting three stars per level in the same area.�
Each level offers various tools. The player can create boosters by matching specific numbers of items. For example, four matching items in a square shape create an explosive bomb candy in a twist wrapper. Five matching items create a rainbow sprinkled vanilla icing cupcake they can use to remove all items of one type. If they combine special items, they can remove even more items. For example, if they merge two rainbow sprinkle cupcakes, the game collects every item on a board.
Candy Valley also offers other boosters in different ways. The player can activate a booster that transforms a dessert on the board into that booster. Additional tools exist to the right of the board.
When the player has enough stars, they unlock an ingredient for a recipe item. They eventually gather all the ingredients and reveal the recipe item.
