Women Football Penalty Champions is a soccer-themed sports game. It requires a player to use an avatar to perform penalty kicks and provide defense against an opponent's kicker.
As compared to similar games, the interface and mechanics are incredibly simple. The game focuses primarily on a player using and honing their hand-eye coordination and precision-timing skills. That said, they don't have to make any special swipe moves. They merely click or tap to perform actions.
After the player selects a country flag on the main screen, they face off against the game's AI (represented by another country flag). The game unlocks new matches and countries by selecting an unlocked flag on a levels-style screen.
Women Football Penalty Champions displays a goal net, the opponent's avatar as a goalkeeper, and the player's avatar as a kicker. Within the net, the game presents three horizontal bars in spots where the ball might hit. Each bar features red bands on both ends surrounding a green central band. A slider slides back and forth on the bars. The player must choose one of the bars, time the movement of the slider, and time their own actions to make the perfect shot.
Once their turn ends, the player's avatar becomes the goalie. They don't need to guess where their opponent might kick the ball. They must merely make the perfect selection so the slider stops within the green band on any of the three bars. The match goes back and forth several turns. If the player ties with the game, they enter attack mode. The first to make a shot without another tie wins.
Two players could potentially play this game if they used the same trackpad or touchscreen and switched off.
