My Land: King Defender is a kingdom-defense and world-building game that simulates the role of a king and knight who tries to protect his kingdom and preserve its resources from attacks while on the back of his fierce and trusted steed. The king needs the player's help acquiring resources, making sales to earn gold and buying acres of new land in hexagon-shaped plots to continue his campaign of building towers and other defenses, upgrading tools and fighting monstrous enemies.
In the initial open area surrounded by dark smoke and clouds, the player directs the king and his horse to spaces on the ground that are blank or display white icons. In the region, a stickman woodcutter cuts trees down near the castle so the king can collect and sell the logs at a nearby shop. The player helps the king collect the wood by directing him to a space that displays a white axe icon.
The player then directs the king to spaces near shrouded areas. When the king pays for access via a blank space, the game opens up a plot with a tower, a cannon turret and a space that displays a white tower icon. The land might also reveal much-needed resources.
Over time, My Land: King Defender allows the player to upgrade almost everything. For example, the woodcutter receives a sawmill and workers. The player can upgrade the castle and towers to larger, more defensible structures. They can also set up a quarry with miners and a railroad.
The player receives approximately 4 minutes between invasions to perform all necessary tasks and open treasure chests. During an attack, they defend with cannons and the king's lance.
