Cross-Stitch Masters is a hobby game that allows a player to recreate various images with cross-stitch embroidery using paint-by-number style. The player receives coins when they complete a picture. They then use the coins to buy access to additional cross-stitch patterns, including new and picture-of-the-day options.
The player selects a picture and canvas based on category (Best, New!, Holidays, Animals, Art, Cute, Flowers, Food, Landscapes, Objects, Others and Halloween) or size (50x50, 70x70, 100x100 and 150x150). The game then displays the pattern inside a wooden square frame on a striped green and teal tabletop.
Cross-Stitch Masters presents a carousel-style paint palette and colors marked with capital letters beneath the table. When the player selects one of these colors, the game automatically zooms in to the exact location of empty cells printed with the matching letter. All cells with the matching letter turn dark gray to make it easier for the player to find the correct ones. If the player paints the wrong cells, a white triangle and an exclamation point warning icon appear on every mistake.
How to play:
Select the picture of the day, a category and paid or free pattern, or scroll down the main screen and choose a pattern. Pick a thread-paint color, and then select or slide over the matching cells on the canvas to complete cross stitches. Drag the canvas to locate all matching cells. If desired, use the lower-right hamburger icon and the (+) and (-) options to zoom in and out. When finished with one color, switch to another by selecting a different paint circle on the carousel. To remove stitches, select the lower-left button and then the cells.
Controls:
Mouse: Click buttons, icons, and cells. To paint faster with cross stitches after selecting a color, click and slide the mouse like a paintbrush. To reveal a different section by sliding the canvas, click and drag the mouse.
Mobile: Tap buttons, icons and cells. To paint faster or reveal a different canvas area, tap and drag the tip of the finger or stylus.
