Numicolor is a relaxing casual color-by-number game similar to classic oil paint-by-number kits. It features daily, free, account-only and premium pictures. The player selects a white line drawing that features numbered sections and uses different numbered paint circles to add color to it.
Each picture has distinct zones known in-game as pieces. When the player reviews a picture before making a decision, the game displays the number of palette colors and pieces for it. The latter is displayed next to a jigsaw puzzle icon, even though this game doesn't offer a jigsaw puzzle option.
After the player makes their drawing selection, the game displays the picture in the center area with a horizontal bar and the numbered circular paint options below it. When the player selects a color, the picture displays checkerboard highlighting in the numbered zones. They then select these zones with their cursor to paint each one. After they use a color completely, it disappears from the bar.
Numicolor provides a light bulb hint button in the upper-right corner that makes the perspective zoom in and adds red color to one or more sections. The player can swipe to see different parts of the picture. They use a magnifier button to zoom out. Once they complete a picture, the game displays it like a painting in a reveal mode.
