Maya Bubbles is a bubble-popping game that features 120 levels across three scroll maps of jungle and other environments. The player's goals are to remove bubble marbles from floating golden lockboxes, earn a high score, and unlock every level.
The player accomplishes these tasks by using a mask as a shooter. They fire matching marble projectiles at the marbles attached to the lockboxes to make groups of at least three of the same type (i.e., color and pattern). The mask contains a projectile at the top of the head and a separate one in the mouth at all times. The player can swap the projectiles when they need one with a color that better matches the attached marbles.
Unlike similar games, Maya Bubbles doesn't time the player. Instead, it applies match-3 rules and restricts the number of moves per level. The player tracks their remaining moves to the lower left of the shooter. When they perform a match, the marbles pop energetically. When they finish clearing away every marble, the lockbox floats down, unlocks, and reveals the key to the next level.
How to play:
Review the colors and patterns on the projectiles. Check the play area for clusters of connected bubble marbles that match. If necessary, select one of the arrows on the mask to swap the projectiles. Shoot to pop the marbles. Use cylindrical columns on the left and right sides to direct the projectiles at angles. Keep track of the remaining projectiles in the lower left area. Clear all the bubbles to unlock the lockbox and retrieve the key. Repeat this process across all levels.
Controls:
Mouse: Click buttons. To use the mask shooter, drag the mouse right or left and then click.
Mobile: Tap buttons. To use the shooter, drag the stylus or finger right or left and tap.
