Zuma Bubble Shooter, also known as Pirates Zuma and Zuma Bubbles, is a bubble-popping game that features defensive play. A treasure-hunting cat needs the player's help with fighting mouse-like pirate monsters marching on winding paths toward sites that contain treasure. They fight across six modes (i.e., Ruins, Swamp, Desert, Snow, Volcano and Challenge).
Within the battlefield levels in each mode, the player shoots marching pirate troops with a cannon and projectile bubbles. They primarily use projectiles to take out two or more adjacent color-matched pirates at a time.
The pirates have their own defensive capabilities, such as helmets that only break with more than one shot. To improve their defense, the player can access other weapons, including fire bombs that explode violently, ice bombs that freeze the chain of troops, time bombs that reverse the chain, and mystery weapons.
Zuma Bubble Shooter's Challenge mode rewards the player with a gift. Otherwise, the player receives points, money and stars. They receive a higher score when they make combination moves. They need these rewards to purchase access to the weapons. They can also earn coins and other rewards by spinning a wheel of fortune and reaching achievement goals.
I have so much fun while playing Zuma Bubbles! The satisfaction of clicking the balls into like colored and seeing them disappear is so pleasing. The frustration from missing my desired mark and adding to the wrong coloring grouping just makes me want to beat the level faster. The bubble line advances towards the Zuma statue and if Im not paying attention, the line will make it to the end causing me to lose the game. I have to keep my eye out for balls in the line wearing helmets since I will have to hit them twice with like colored balls. Every round I try to make sure I am able to get my first place rank. Now my biggest challenge is getting to the highest level I can before my friends! With Zuma Bubbles, I can even sit and play with my nieces and nephews for hours. Now I cant stop playing because I want to beat my score each time and seeing the cat celebrate!
