Zumbla Classic is a bubble-popping game with a desert and jungle theme that requires the player to shoot projectiles at trains made of marble-style bubbles. They must also collect coins, earn points and recreate images from related locales across more than 1,500 levels.
Against an ancient scroll backdrop, the player uses carved masks as shooters. Each one features a projectile in its mouth and a secondary or preview projectile on the top. The player can swap these projectiles to make matches faster. They then shoot to form a chain of three or more matching marbles. After the bubbles pop, they receive points in the top-center trophy area.
Zumbla Classic makes play challenging in various ways. Beyond multiple winding and sometimes overlapping tracks, for example, the mixed marbles roll at different speeds, the swapping mechanism doesn't always work, and the player often needs to make close-range shots with accuracy. If the player takes time to shoot a projectile at a floating coin, the train might suddenly speed up and race past the shooter.
That said, the game offers super powers encased in some bubble marbles. When the player makes a match that contains a power marble, they can activate bombs, multi-shot fireballs and laser aiming lines. They can also freeze the entire area to slow one or more trains or cause all marbles to roll in reverse.
