Words With Hints is a casual connect-style word-search game. The player's goal is to discover words by connecting letter tiles presented in grid layouts at the center of the playfield on each level.
The player draws their cursor across the tiles. They can make selections in any up, down, left or right direction. They must always start the selection of a word in the correct order with the first letter. When they perform this step correctly, the game connects the tiles with a colored line and highlights each one with the same color.
Words With Hints makes play more difficult over time by increasing the length and complexity of the words or arranging small tiles into large grid formations. If the player views advertisements, they can receive hints using the Hint button below a grid.
That said, the player doesn't need hints to win. They merely need to think carefully about how the game presents challenges. In many cases, a planned word is four or more letters long and creates a unique highlighted area.
For example, a grid might contain a planned five-letter word that the player must start connecting in an up direction in the lower-left column across two tiles. Yet, the word doesn't continue up the column. Instead, the player must turn right across one tile, go up one tile, and then turn left across the last tile.
The game rewards the player with gold crown coins in the upper-right area any time they complete a word. It also rewards them with bonus coins for finding hidden words. Lastly, it eventually displays their progress on a leaderboard.
