Word Rivers (2024) is a word game with connect, crossword and search elements. Across levels, the player must fill a dictionary with words by creating new words to fit inside of empty spaces in rows and columns. To complete this task, they use letters found in a circle below the spaces. Beyond this goal, they attempt to earn coins, open gift boxes and explore vibrant, colorful images of outdoor scenes.
The player receives a limited number of letters in the circle. They use a connecting line to form a word from the first to the last letter. The game then adds it to a row or column. If the player has difficulty, they can use the curved arrows at the center of the circle to shuffle the letters.
Word Rivers also supplies helpful tools, including a bullseye icon that reveals the letter for any space the player selects and a scroll icon that randomly reveals one. They can use the coins they win or collect to make these tools available or view ad videos. They can double their coins during collection by viewing videos as well. On the home screen, the player can also retrieve free coins at a shop.
The game offers additional fun with a calendar that the player unlocks after Level 40.
