Winter Solitaire TriPeaks is a card game similar to Jewel Match Solitaire: Winterscapes that offers many fun ways to enjoy the holiday season. The player clears cards from hundreds of levels and uses rare red beryl emeralds to install structures and decorations in snow-covered historic fantasy scenes. They also travel to new locations, earn coins, points and stars, unlock and win side games, and collect achievement titles.
The game features Normal, Relaxed, Timed and Hard mode options on a horizontal button above Play. After the player accesses a level, they clear away face-up and face-down cards and reveal hidden gems and coins by selecting face-up cards with the next highest or lowest value based on foundation cards.
If the player can't find the next card, they pull from the foundation draw pile. If they reveal an obstacle card or a special effects card, they must activate it. For example, they might double-select a frozen card to break the ice or select a key card to unlock a lock card. The player can also use their coins to buy power-ups in the shop that help with card removal, such as extra draw cards, wild cards and joker cards.
Winter Solitaire TriPeaks gives the player a Scene Manager button to remove some dynamic elements, such as birds, fairies and lanterns. The player can change the cards, gems and language and turn off sound, music and hints via Options. With the Change Scene button, they can update the home screen backdrop with different locations, including Winterscapes Palace, Mountainview Manor, and Winterbury Square.
Over time, the player gains access to side solitaire games via collected stars, including classic, variant, supersize, challenge, match-2, sliding and Mahjong options. For example, supersize increases the number of cards to clear per level, match-2 changes the rules to require pair selections, and Mahjong offers Chinese tile play.
